Teaching & Learning Today
Explore how the role of teacher is shifting from “transmitter of information” to “facilitator of learning.” This course provides general information about current trends in education related to student-centered learning. Consider that 50 years ago, the role of a teacher in a school was that of knowledge source. In today’s environment of information surplus, teachers need no longer be students’ primary sources of information. Use the information in this course to understand current trends as well as view articles concerning current student-centered learning philosophies.
The TisHelp resources are created and facilitated by Mary Lynn and Angela Astuto. Resources are designed to assist teachers and administrators with professional development related to technology. Both Mary and Angela are available to facilitate as well as assist participants with any questions or clarifications.
